As a lifelong artist, Amber Temkin
has trained in the classical art forms of drawing, painting and sculpting. When asked what brought her
to animals and photography, she answers, "An appreciation and passion for art that is matched by my
respect and love for animals. My professional career with animals began as a teenager working on
a horse ranch. Mixing my responsibilities as an outrider with my passion for the beauty of animals, I
carried my camera and drawing set in one saddle bag and carrots in the other."
Whether it's the wonder of an animal's early
years, the comradery of a best friend in his prime, the devotion and wisdom of an aging companion, or
the human-animal bond, Amber is looking for the essence that makes her subjects unique and wonderful.
What should clients expect at
a photo shoot? "My approach is easy going, fun and journalistic. I spend some time establishing
trust and rapport, then its time for play, friends, food and rest (the most important things in life!)... all
captured by my vision and passion."
Amber's style is defined by
her inquisitive eye for composition blended with her instinctual understanding and love of animals and people
that creates one of a kind images that are all-together timeless, classical and contemporary.
"I am grateful that I am able to share my
gift in a way that provides families with memories that they will cherish for generations."
